After you purchase, register and activate your device, you will be required to select
a service plan and payment option through the Securus website. Service plans are
one-year minimum commitments. Based on the plan, you may pay in either 12 monthly
installments or prepay at the beginning of the plan year at a discount.
eZoom has a 1-year limited warranty. Please refer to the 1-Year Limited Warranty terms for further details.
You can also purchase an
Extended Warranty with your service plan at the time of activation.
Before activating, create an account at
www.securusgps.com/CustomerRegistration.aspx , then check your email for
the activation link to continue the process.
Check T-Mobile coverage in your area at
www.securusgps.com/coverage-map.aspx and make sure your eZoom is charged
and turned on (you will see a blue light flash every five seconds when eZoom is

When it locates on the map, you should see the correct location. If you see a message
about incomplete settings and/or a firmware update, follow the on-screen instructions
to complete activation.

Make sure your eZoom is charged and turned on (you will see a blue light flash every
ten seconds when eZoom is on). If the blue light flashes every five seconds, move
eZoom to a new location to ensure strong signal.
Place eZoom outside or in a window with a clear view of the sky to ensure that it
can get a strong GPS signal. Once eZoom is in view of the sky, click Find on the
tracking dashboard or mobile application. You should see the correct location.
If you are not seeing the correct location, turn eZoom off by holding the power
button on top of the device for a few seconds until the two end signal lights turn
on, then release the button and the lights will turn off. Wait a few seconds and
then turn eZoom back on by pressing and holding the power button for a few seconds.
In your account, (log in by going to
www.securusgps.com/gpsaas) click Find on the tracking dashboard again.
It should show the correct location.

To track, go to www.securusgps.com/gpsaas
and log in with the email address and password set up during activation. Click Find
or Track on your tracking dashboard under your locator.
You can also download applications for your smart phone that enable you to track
eZoom on the go at www.securusgps.com/mobileapps.aspx.
In addition, you can locate eZoom by sending a text message. Register a cell phone
number in your account by going to Settings under your device and entering a cell
phone number and carrier.
From that registered cell phone, text Find <locator name> to 96225.
“Find” can be uppercase or lowercase. The locator name is what it is called on your
tracking dashboard. You will receive a text message shortly with the location of
Arming eZoom with your mobile app creates an instant SafeSpot around the locator.
If it moves from that location, you will be alerted. Arming can only be done from
the mobile app at this point.
In the mobile app menu, press Arm/Disarm. Select the locator you would like
to arm (if you have more than one).
Press the Arm button on the screen. When it turns green, the eZoom is armed
and will alert you if it is moved from its location.
The Navigation feature in the mobile app gives you turn by turn directions to your
eZoom while you are tracking it.
In the mobile app menu, first press Tracking and select the locator you would
like to track. Press Start Tracking.
Go back to the mobile app menu and press Navigation.
If the GPS function on your mobile phone is not already enabled, the mobile app
will prompt you to turn it on. To enable, press Enable GPS in the mobile
app and the phone's GPS settings will open. Turn on your phone's GPS function and
return to the mobile app.
Press Navigation in the mobile app menu. Select your locator and press Get

You can receive alerts when your eZoom enters and leaves SafeSpot throughout the
day, as well as overspeed alerts and low battery alerts.
Alerts can come via text message or email. You can specify alert settings in your
account by going to Settings in your tracking dashboard.
You can view and/or download recent location history in your tracking dashboard.
Location history is recorded if you did a FIND request or if your eZoom is in continuous
To view history, click History under your locator on the tracking dashboard.
Enter the number of days or hours you would like to view on the map.
To download history, enter the dates you would like to view and click Download.
You can also control your data by deleting location history anytime. To delete,
enter the number of days or hours you would like to delete and click Delete.
To avoid getting false alerts, make sure your SafeSpots have a radius of at least
eZoom uses A-GPS and cellular triangulation to accurately track anything important
to you, from cars and motorcycles to children and teen drivers. It also features
an SOS button that instantly sends the location of the eZoom to you, so you can
track it on a map and quickly find it. With eZoom, you can also remotely activate
motion detection so it will instantly alert you if your eZoom moves.
eZoom connects with satellites and cellular towers in the area to provide a highly
accurate location, which you can view on a map online. You can view the location
of your eZoom locator online 24/7, and you can also use your smart phone or cell
phone to find the location. eZoom also gives you the ability to remotely activate
motion detectors in the unit. For example, if you are using eZoom to track your
car, you can activate motion detectors when you park it, and you will instantly
receive notification if it moves.
eZoom is perfect for tracking just about anything. You can keep track of valuables
like laptops and digital cameras by putting eZoom in the carrying case. You can
also mount it to vehicles, bicycles and motorcycles with the included vehicle mounting
kit, ensuring that the eZoom is always fully charged and that you always know where
your item is.
eZoom is also great for monitoring your teen driver. You can mount it in the car
or put it in the glove box, and you’ll know immediately when your teen driver reaches
her destination without her having to call you. The SOS button is great for 'checking
in' with you when she reaches her destination, as well.
A-GPS stands for Assisted Global Positioning System. It enhances the performance
of a basic GPS's location time and accuracy. Compared with regular GPS systems,
A-GPS provides much faster positioning even when GPS signal conditions are weak.
A-GPS takes less power (saving battery life) and time to acquire satellite and cell
tower signals and finds the user quicker. Under stand-alone GPS operation, a GPS
receiver typically needs more than 30 seconds to receive the satellite position
data and other satellite information required to compute a position. In weak signal
areas such as urban canyons, building interiors or locations surrounded by tall
trees, where the receiver has limited or no direct access to the open sky, determining
a positioning can take much longer.
Depending on usage, eZoom can last 3-21 days on a single battery charge.
Battery life between charging can be affected by the device’s signal strength and
usage, as well as movement. When the device stays in the same location in continuous
tracking mode, it will enter standby mode to conserve battery. You can click Find
or Track to locate it and it will exit standby mode temporarily. When eZoom
moves from that location, it will update its location on the tracking map if in
continuous tracking mode.
You can receive text and email alerts when the eZoom needs to be recharged, and
it charges through the AC wall adapter, car charger and the vehicle installation
kit. It takes five hours to charge the battery initially, and then it takes about
three hours to charge the battery after that.
When eZoom is fully charged, the red battery light will turn off and the blue light
will flash every ten seconds indicating connection to our network.
You can extend the battery life of eZoom with the power extender.
